When it comes to the reliability of a 1911, the extractor is the most critical component of your handgun. A well-designed, properly tuned εξολκέας ensures that your pistol feeds, extracts, and ejects reliably every time.
All Wilson Combat Bullet Proof® extractors are machined from solid bar stock alloy steel and then specially heat-treated for long-lasting tension and toughness to resist chipping or breakage. Wilson Bullet Proof® extractors are the choice of professional gunsmiths and will hold tension longer and resist damage better than any other extractor on the market.
Our 1911 εξολκείς require minimal fitting for proper function and often can be installed with only final tensioning required. Used alongside a Wilson Combat firing pin stop, you can optimize the extractor function for any 1911 pistol.

PH 13-8 Stainless Steel
The PH 13-8 Mo stainless steel alloy is commonly used in applications requiring high strength, toughness, corrosion resistance, and resistance to stress cracking. With a tensile strength of 215,000 PSI, it is ideal for aircraft components, nuclear reactors, and other demanding applications.
Series 70 vs Series 80 1911 Extractors
The main difference between Series 70 and Series 80 1911 extractors is the plunger retainer stud in the Series 80 model. This retainer stud holds the firing pin safety plunger in place on Colt-style Series 80 slides, next to the disconnector rail. Series 80 extractors are compatible with both Series 80 and Series 70 guns, but Series 70 extractors lack the cut required for the firing pin lock plunger and, therefore, cannot be used in Series 80 guns.
- Kimber Series II guns can use either Series 70 or Series 80 extractors.
- All Springfield Armory 1911 pistols are Series 70.
